A Few Quick Birthday Savings Tips
There’s nothing worse than the feeling of expecting to get something for free, but then not being able to because you missed critical instructions when signing up for a rewards program.
Nowadays, these programs have more strict requirements over when and how you can redeem them… and you often need to show some kind of identification, or verification of your birthday (due to people abusing the programs.
I don’t want for you to get caught up in that stress!
So keep these tips in mind when planning out your month of birthday freebies.
Watch for pre-purchase rules
A few sit-down spots (like Grimaldi’s) require you to have made at least one purchase in their app during the past year to claim your birthday pie.
Sign up the whole family
Many kid-focused places (like Chuck E. Cheese) let parents add multiple children under one account so every child gets their own special reward when their birthday rolls around.
Check for active account rules
Places like Peter Piper Pizza require at least one scan or check-in during the year prior to your birthday to trigger the birthday reward.
Combine play and food
Using a free game-play coupon along with a pizza discount makes a birthday outing super budget-friendly!
Plan your week
Most of these offers stay active anywhere from 7 days to the full month, giving you plenty of time to spread out your free birthday meals!
Gather your favorite people
Taking advantage of birthday freebies is one of the easiest ways to host a fun birthday dinner with family and friends without blowing your budget.
